1Jordan Miles Is the Guard Programs Should Be Watching
The Westfield Heights point guard averaged 19.1 points and 6.4 assists, led his team to its first region title in 11 years and earned All-Region First Team honors. The Class of 2027 standout says he's just getting started.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Jordan Miles can't remember the last time he took a day off from the gym, and his coaches can't either. 3The 6-foot-2, 175-pound point guard at Westfield Heights High School turned that work into one of the best junior seasons in central Indiana, averaging 19.1 points, 6.4 assists and 2.3 steals per game while leading the Falcons to a 24-4 record and their first region title in 11 years.
The season earned Miles All-Region First Team honors and a spot on his conference's All-Defensive Team. Now a senior in the Class of 2027, he enters the winter as one of the most complete guards in the region.
A floor general who makes everyone better
Miles shot 47 percent from the field and 38 percent from three-point range, but the number his coaches point to first is his 2.8-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He ran the Falcons' offense from the opening tip and usually guarded the opponent's best perimeter scorer on the other end.
His signature night came in the region final. Miles scored 27 points, 11 of them in the fourth quarter, and hit the go-ahead free throws with 14 seconds left in a 58-55 win.
4“Jordan is the first one in the gym and the last one out, and our younger players see that every day. He makes the right play in big moments. You can't teach that.”
Marcus Bell, head coach, Westfield Heights
Built in the off-season
5Over the summer, Miles played for Indy Rise 17U on the travel circuit, where he averaged 15.6 points against national competition and was named to the all-tournament team at a July showcase. He credits the jump in his game to early-morning shooting sessions and film study after every game.
6“I play for my mom and my little brother. They've been at every game since I was eight,” Miles said. “Every time I step on the floor, I want to show them the work was worth it.”
Strong in the classroom
7Off the court, Miles carries a 3.7 GPA, is a member of his school's honor society and plans to study business. Teachers describe him as the same player in the classroom that he is on the floor: prepared, quiet and consistent.
What's next
Heading into his senior season, Miles has two goals: compete for a state title and earn the chance to play at the next level.
“I want to play for a program that values defense and toughness, where I can earn minutes as a freshman,” he said. “I'm ready to compete for a spot wherever I go.”
